I’ve personally been involved with amazing girls in the past. They’ve introduced me to different nuances of happiness and joy. I know that we fall in to the banality of everyday life far too easily. We walk out the doors of our respective residences, only to be met by the sky or the sun or to rain or to the cold. But when that one person comes around, she helps you slow down, even for a moment, harnessing the power to reveal to you the spectrum of the blues in the sky that serve as a background to the soft, white, delicate clouds that decorate the heavens above. She helps you appreciate the warmth of the sun and how it casts the most beautiful glow on her face during the sunset. She helps you indulge in the pitter patter of the rain and the way it breathes life in to the soil and how the cold weather gives you the opportunity to come closer to her, whether it be in the form of escaping the cold in the comfort of her apartment or holding her in your arms as tightly as you can.

I’ve experienced my share of “The End(s),” and they are emotionally draining. The most dismal feeling is that of investing so much time into a person, only to watch all it slip away. I still feel the effects of relationships that have ended years ago. It’s hard to have happiness taken away from you.

For a long period, I tried to bury these memories away, but they always seemed to stick with me. Not until I consciously made an effort to leave behind the anger and resentment I felt towards these bitter breakups was I able to fondly reminisce on the happiness I once shared with these people.
